About WinWinz Calc
Free calculators for people who would rather check the math than guess at the lumber yard.
WinWinz Calc is an independent tool site. It is not a construction company, a licensed contractor or an engineering firm. The calculators are built to answer a narrow question well: how much material does this job need, and what will it cost?
How the estimates work
Every calculator uses a published formula or a standard material yield. Dimensions are converted to a consistent unit before calculating, and the result is shown in both imperial and metric where useful. Each page lists its assumptions, a worked example and the factors that can change the answer.
Waste allowances are adjustable because real jobs vary. A rectangular patio and a diagonal tile floor should not use the same margin. Bag yields, paint coverage and gravel density also vary by product, so the label or the supplier is always the final authority.
What this site is not
- It is not a substitute for local building codes, permits or inspections.
- It is not structural, legal, financial or safety advice.
- It does not replace a site visit from a qualified contractor when the job depends on soil, drainage or existing structure.
